Courts Plus Camps


Camp Offerings

Courts Plus summer camps are offered for children ages preschool-junior high. We offer half-day and full-day options, with sign up options of two, three, or five days per session. Sunrise and Sunset Camps are available for families needing additional care. Courts Plus offers a variety of camps to accommodate every family’s needs for summer fun! Camp KaPow
(Ages 42 mos. - 6 yrs.)

This camp will help provide confidence and an “I can” attitude needed for your child. Each day will have a theme that includes sports, games, activities and a craft. Manners, social skills and conflict resolution skills are included each day.

Action Camp
(Ages 35 mos. - 6 yrs.)

Action Camp is the camp for the child who enjoys physical activity! Sports, games, and crafts are offered each day. This camp will be held in Courts Plus and Plunkett Park, so come dressed for outside fun. Sunrise and Sunset Campers Program (extended day care) is available for campers participating in Action Camp.

Courts Plus Fun Camp
(Ages 5-10)

This camp provides campers with the opportunity to be involved in fun sports and other activities while increasing their health and fitness. The campers participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities from exercising on fitness equipment to playing volleyball. There is one field trip and open swim time each session. The emphasis of the camp is introducing health and fitness to campers in an exciting and fun manner. Sunrise and Sunset campers program (extended daycare) is available for campers participating in Courts Plus Fun Camp.

Mini Fun Camp
(Ages 6-10)

Mini Fun Camp is all the fun of Courts Plus Fun Camp in half the time. This camp provides sports and games that will increase participants’ health and fitness. This camp will focus on aspects of staying healthy in a positive and supportive environment. This outdoor camp will take place at The Hub at Berens Park. Each week we will have an in-house field trip.

Fit 4 U Teen Fitness Camp
(Ages 11-14)

This camp will provide a variety of fitness and sports activities for junior high age youth. Positive physical activities that keep each participant enthusiastic, and focus on a healthy self-esteem are planned. There will be one field trip and swim time each session. Sunrise and Sunset Campers Program (extended day care) is available for campers participating in Fit 4 U Teen Fitness Camp.

Sunrise & Sunset Campers Before & After Camp Care
(Ages 5-14)

Sunrise and Sunset Camp is available for camper’s ages 5 to 14 years old that may require additional supervised time at Courts Plus. Sunrise Camp is 7-9 a.m. and Sunset Camp is 3-6 p.m. Sunrise and Sunset Camp compliment the activities offered within the Courts Plus Camp program, and include sports, crafts and games. A healthy snack is included in Sunset Camp.

Back to School Blast Camp
(Ages 6-13)

This camp is sure to get your child ready for school sports. Focus is on football, soccer, track, volleyball, and basketball skills. Sunrise and Sunset Campers Program (extended day care) is available for campers participating in Back to School Blast Camp.

Back to School Sunrise & Sunset Camp
(Ages 5-14)

Back to School Sunrise & Sunset Camp is available for campers that may require additional supervised time at Back to School Blast Camp. Sunrise Camp is 7-9 a.m. and Sunset Camp is 3-6 p.m. Sunrise and Sunset Camp compliment the activities offered within the Courts Plus Camp program, and include sports, crafts and games. A healthy snack is included in Sunset Camp.

Counselors in Training
(Ages 12-17)

The Counselors in Training program is designed for young adults ages 12-17 to learn and develop skills for working with children. The program consists of daily onsite experiences working with counselors and campers. CITs will be placed as a counselor at either Courts Plus Fun Camp or Action Camp on a first come first serve basis.

Registration

Registration for all Courts Plus camps and before/after camp care must be taken at Courts Plus Payment plans are available for Action Camp, Fun Camp, and Fit 4 U Teen Fitness Camp are available. Please download and submit forms directly to Courts Plus. Reservations for Sunrise/Sunset camps must be made at least the day before care is needed unless special permission is given by the Kids Plus supervisor.

Punch Cards

Families needing occasional additional care may purchase an hourly punch card for Sunrise or Sunset Care. This punch card is good for ten separate hours of supervised care. Cost for this card is $60 per 10 hours. Punch Cards are available for purchase at the Courts Plus service desk.

Receipts

Please remember to save your receipts/confirmation if you plan to claim camp costs as childcare on your taxes. For lost receipts/confirmations, Courts Plus can provide financial reports for an additional fee. All requests for financial reports for the current year must be made no later than December 31. Elmhurst Park District tax I.D. # is 36-6005-865.
