  • Safety Town Open Road Night

    July 27, 2017 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

    Safety Town is open to the public and monitored by qualified Safety Town staff on Thursday evenings (weather permitting) for Open Road during the summer. Practice being a pedestrian on the sidewalks, use road safety while you ride your tricycle on the streets, and learn about railroad safety near the fully operational crossing gate. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times when visiting Safety Town.

    All ages are welcome. Youngsters ages 4-7 with tricycles and helmets can ride through Safety Town.

  • Late Night Swim

    July 27, 2017 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm

    Come swim under the stars during our new Late Night Swim at East End Pool! The entire pool will be available for individuals and families to enjoy. Pool passes and regular admission prices apply. 

  • Tot Time

    July 29, 2017 - 9:30am to 12:00pm

    We're opening Smalley Pool just for you and your tot! Here is your little one's chance to splash around without the bigger kids. Join us on Saturdays, June 10-August 12, 9:30 a.m.-Noon when the whole pool will be open to enjoy with your little swimmer, but the slide and diving board will open later. Regular admission prices apply, and you may stay through open swim. Children under 5 and parents only, please.

  • Wacky Wednesday

    Join us at Smalley Pool and East End Pool for a wacky, fun filled day! We will have a variety of games and contests for all ages. Win food, prizes and much more!

  • Middle School Night at the Pool

    August 03, 2017 - 8:30pm to 10:30pm

    Calling all sixth, seventh and eighth graders! Join us at East End Pool on select Thursday nights when the pool is open just for you. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase and a DJ will be playing music all night long. Register before 6 p.m. the night of the event to receive the Early Registration Fee. Participants who register at the event must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Early Registration fee is $7, $10 at the door. Registration opens Saturday, May 6 for residents.

  • Kite Fest

    August 05, 2017 - 11:00am to 2:00pm

    Make plans to stop by Berens Park in Elmhurst on Saturday, August 5 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for Elmhurst Park District’s annual Kite Fest, a day of free fun for all ages! The skies will be alive with kite stunts and tricks as Elmhurst welcomes some of the Midwest's best professional kite flyers. Kids can look forward to free kite building (free kites for the first 200 kids), a candy drop and hula hoop contest. Feel free to fly your own kites during open fly times.

  • Yoga in the Garden

    August 08, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

    Join us as we take our practice outdoors to the beautiful scenery at the Wilder Park Gardens. This relaxing, non-impact class will leave you feeling exhilarated while calming and clearing your mind! Bring a yoga mat and water. This class is free to the community, but pre-registration is required. Registration opens Saturday, May 6, click here to register.

  • Movies in the Park - The Love Bug

    August 11, 2017 - 7:30pm

    Pack a blanket and spend your Friday evening with Movies in the Park! Join us for a free showing of Disney's The Love Bug at Wilder Park. Free popcorn will be available and other food truck vendors will be on site. The movie begins at dusk. Movies in the Park is organized through a partnership between Elmhurst Park District and Elmhurst Public Library and is presented by Edward-Elmhurst Health, The Schiller Team @ properties, and Suburban Bank & Trust, a Wintrust Company.

  • Park Palooza

    August 19, 2017 - 5:00pm to 10:00pm

    Enjoy an end-of-summer evening of music, food and fun! Elmhurst Park District invites you to the fifth annual Park Palooza on Saturday, August 19 from 5-10 p.m. at Berens Park. This free family event will feature live music including Second Time Around from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and No Alternative from 8-10:15 p.m. Enjoy activities for the whole family including kids' activities, face painting, a beer and wine garden and a food truck for every craving. Presented by The Schiller Team, Edward-Elmhurst Health and Courts Plus.

    Join in the holiday spirit with a festive celebration in Wilder Park! Bring your family and friends together for this annual tradition. Sponsored by Edward-Elmhurst Health, Marianos and Brewpoint. 

    Interested in decorating one of the 65 trees that will light up the park? Pick your tree at Wagner Community Center starting August 5. Trees are $58 for residents and $70 for non-residents. 

  • Santa Claus at Wilder Mansion

    The fun begins with cookies and cocoa served by Santa’s Elves. There will be holiday craft-making, and each child will receive time with Santa and a complimentary photo.   • Polar Express Storytime Train

    December 10, 2017 - 11:00am

    All aboard! Don't miss the holiday magic as we journey to the North Pole (Elburn) on the Metra train. We will enjoy cookies and refreshments while a storyteller reads The Polar Express. Santa will join us on the train to visit with your family. Meet on the south side of the tracks. Children under one year old are welcome to attend, but must sit on adult's lap. Approximately two-hours round trip. Two train times available, 11:12 a.m. and 3:12 p.m. Please note: car seats and strollers are not allowed. Registration opens Saturday, August 5 for Elmhurst residents.
