Personal Trainers
Working with a Courts Plus Personal Trainer will help you develop and maintain an effective, safe and individualized program to meet your specific needs. Individual sessions are available in one hour and half hour increments. Packages of 3, 6, and 10 sessions are also available. Personal Trainers On Duty
If you have a question about a machine, program or would like to know what a personal trainer can do for you, then check out our Personal Trainer on Duty program. Our personal trainers can answer your questions about fitness or show you proper technique. This service is included to our members at no additional charge. We hope this customer service program will enhance the quality of your workouts. Feel free to come to us with any training questions you may have. Karen Augustyn
Karen holds an Exercise Specialist Certificate from University of Illinois-Chicago and is a certified instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), by the Ken Cooper Aerobic Institute of Research, National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and World Instructor Training School. She has worked at Courts Plus since 1974. Karen also is a CPR Instructor. |

Sue Buda-Gerali
Sue has a BS in Physical Education and Health from George Williams College. She is certified as a Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has received certification through the New Way Center in helping develop awareness of negative lifestyle patterns in order to implement positive changes. Sue has worked for the Elmhurst Park District since 1982 in adult fitness leadership, fitness coordination and as a personal trainer. Her emphasis is in integrated health and wellness. |

Katie Birkis
Katie is certified through the National Personal Training Institute with a diploma in Personal Training. She has previously trained clients at the Hinsdale Fitness Center. Katie has been a member of Courts Plus for over eight years. |

Jeff Brinker
Jeff holds his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Elmhurst College. He is certified as a Personal Trainer through Triton College, and currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Benedictine University. |

Tiffany Currie
Tiffany has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Physical Education from Elmhurst College. She has worked as an assistant coach for women’s softball and track at Elmhurst College. Tiffany’s strengths include working in youth fitness and sports enhancement. |

Joe Dovidio
Joe is certified through APEX fitness and nutrition, Aerobics and Fitness Association, International Fitness Association, and has previous work through various fitness clubs. He has done both public and private personal training. Joe has experience working with people of all ages, and coaches local youth athletics. |

David Garrity
David holds a B.S. degree in Exercise Science from Elmhurst College. he is currently completing his masters degree in Clinical exercise Physiology at Benedictine University and is a certified personal trainer through Triton College. He has been a personal trainer since July of 2006, and has experience training individuals of all fitness levels, including youth. |

Jill Giorno
Jill is certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in personal training. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois-Chicago. Jill has been a member of Courts Plus for nine years, and has been a personal trainer since April of 2008. She also works as a trainer for the Industrial Athlete Program for Courts Plus. |

Ron is a certified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). He has been a trainer at Courts Plus since 1995 and has certifications from Reebok University in spinning, flexibility and strength training, specializing in lifestyle changes in Baby Boomers. |

Erik Gutekunst
Erik has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology/Fitness Leadership from Northern Illinois University and attended Graduate School at the University of Illinois-Chicago in Corporate Fitness. He is certified as a Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and as a health and Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). |

Jennifer Hagstrom
Jennifer earned her personal training certification from the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research. She also has a certification in Biomechanics of Strength Training as well as Group Exercise with the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She is also an aerobics instructor here at Courts Plus since January 2001. |

Christine Hasler
Christine has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and is a certified Health and Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Her interests include training for triathlons, running and coaching track and field. |

Jacque Jones
Jacques earned an Exercise Science degree from Elmhurst College after retiring from her first career in Information technology. She is a national Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as a Health/Fitness Instructor, ACSM/NCPAD as a Certified Inclusive Fitness trainer, and American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a Personal Trainer, Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, and Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist. She also is an AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional. |

Jennifer Knuth-Wake
Jennifer received her B.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago in marketing and management. She is a personal trainer certified through American Fitness professional and Associates (AFPA). Jennifer is also certified in pre/post natal exercise. |

Anthony Larocco
Anthony began working at Courts Plus in 1996. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research and also certified in Kids in Motion by Sara City Workout Fitness Education. Previous experience includes serving as the Health and Wellness Manager for the Westchester Park District and as Fitness Technician for Morton College. |

Patti Milazzo
Patti graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign with a BS in Animal Sciences in 1986. She is certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and has competed in body building competitions. |

Kelly Quinn
Kelly has a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Marywood University and a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Northern Illinois University. She has been certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer since 2000. Kelly continues to work as a registered dietitian in addition to personal training and is available for nutritional counseling at Courts Plus. |

Kathy has an MS in Health and Physical Education from the University of Illinois. She is also certified through ACE, ACSM, and AEA. Kathy has taught at the University of Illinois-Chicago as a full time clinical instructor for the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition for eight years. She has been with the Elmhurst Park District since 1984 as a Fitness Instructor, Fitness Specialist, Aquatic Instructor and Personal Trainer. |

Ryan Sherman
Ryan is an ACE certified personal Trainer with a B.S. from Western Illinois University in Psychology. He is currently studying Occupational Therapy in Chicago. Ryan is a former competitive swimmer of 12 years. |

Stephanie has a BS in Physical Education/Fitness Leadership emphasizing cardiac rehab and corporate fitness from Northern Illinois University. She is a Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She has been with the Elmhurst Park District since 1996. |

Pamela Stoike
Pamela has taught health and fitness to people of all ages. She has a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from UIC and is licensed as a paramedic. She is certified as a Health and Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine. Pam works full time as a Physician Assistant for a local orthopedic practice. Pam has been with the Elmhurst Park District since 1983. |

Eric Walton
Eric is National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified with specialty in corrective exercise and performance based training. Eric works well with small groups focusing on fat burning/body weight and lifestyle change programs with minimal equipment use. |

Sally Wells
Sally earned a BS in Food and Nutrition from Northern Arizona University and Masters Degree in Exercise Science specializing in Cardiac Rehab and Athletic Training. She is certified as a personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and as a Health Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She is a CPR/AED instructor at Courts Plus. |
