Board President Ubriaco stated that the Park Board held a Special Meeting on November 2, 2015 to answer resident questions and did its best in answering those questions.

Carolyn Ubriaco was reelected to the Board of Park Commissioners for her third term. Doug Ennis and Kevin Graf were elected to fill the other two Board seats. All Commissioners serve for six-year terms.
At the May 13, 2015 Annual Meeting held at Wilder Mansion, all three newly elected Commissioners will take the oath of office and begin their terms. A regular Park Board meeting will take place immediately following the Annual Meeting.
Elmhurst Garden Club representatives President Georgia Dolan, Penny O'Neill, and Marilyn Arado presented the Board of Park Commissioners with a donation of $1,000 toward the Park District's Recreation Assistance Fund, which provides financial assistance to residents for recreational programs. The donation proceeds are from the club's annual Garden Walk & Faire held in July 2014.
The Elmhurst Park District was awarded a $400,000 grant for improvements to Butterfield Park. Governor Pat Quinn, at a January 3, 2015 press conference in Oak Park, IL, announced $26 million in investments for 75 local projects across Illinois that will help communities acquire land for parks and improve recreational facilities The investments are through the state's Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) program.
The Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners approved the 2015 Budget document and 2015 Budget & Appropriation Ordinance at its December 10, 2014 meeting. The proposed 2015 Budget is available for review at the Park District's Administration Building (375 W. First Street, Elmhurst), the Elmhurst Public Library (125 S. Prospect, Elmhurst), or view here. The Board will review and discuss the proposed 2015 Budget at the November 5 and 19, 2014 Board meetings at 7 p.m. (held at 375 W. First Street, Elmhurst.) At the November 19, 2014 Board meeting (7 p.m.), the Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2015 Budget.
To help address storm water management, open space preservation, economic development and education, the Park District created a potential plan that may appeal to the City of Elmhurst, School District 205, the Berteau property developer, and most importantly, Elmhurst residents. At the November 6, 2013 Board meeting (7:00 p.m.), the Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2014 Budget. The Board will also discuss the proposed 2014 Budget at the November 6 and 20, 2013 meetings.
