Park Board of Commissioners Elected April 7, 2015

Carolyn Ubriaco was reelected to the Board of Park Commissioners for her third term.  Doug Ennis and Kevin Graf were elected to fill the other two Board seats.  All Commissioners serve for six-year terms.

At the May 13, 2015 Annual Meeting held at Wilder Mansion, all three newly elected Commissioners will take the oath of office and begin their terms.  A regular Park Board meeting will take place immediately following the Annual Meeting.

$400,000 Grant - Park District Receives Good News for the New Year

The Elmhurst Park District was awarded a $400,000 grant for improvements to Butterfield Park. Governor Pat Quinn, at a January 3, 2015 press conference in Oak Park, IL, announced $26 million in investments for 75 local projects across Illinois that will help communities acquire land for parks and improve recreational facilities The investments are through the state's Open Space Land Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) program.

Final Elmhurst Park District 2015 Budget

The Elmhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners approved the 2015 Budget document and 2015 Budget & Appropriation Ordinance at its December 10, 2014 meeting.  At the November 5, 2014 Park Board meeting, staff presented an overview of the 2015 Proposed Budget.  At the November 19, 2014 Board meeting, the Board continued to discuss and held a public hearing on the 2015 Proposed Budget.  Click here to view the final 2015 Budget and 2

Proposed 2015 Elmhurst Park District Budget

The proposed 2015 Budget is available for review at the Park District's Administration Building (375 W. First Street, Elmhurst), the Elmhurst Public Library (125 S. Prospect, Elmhurst), or view here.  The Board will review and discuss the proposed 2015 Budget at the November 5 and 19, 2014 Board meetings at 7 p.m. (held at 375 W. First Street, Elmhurst.)  At the November 19, 2014 Board meeting (7 p.m.), the Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2015 Budget.

Park Board Proposes Storm Water Management Plan

To help address storm water management, open space preservation, economic development and education, the Park District created a potential plan that may appeal to the City of Elmhurst, School District 205, the Berteau property developer, and most importantly, Elmhurst residents.  As Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare has struck a deal to sell the property on Berteau to a developer, the Park District suggests that when the developer applies to the City to subdivide the property, the City would trade property it owns adjoining the Berteau property to the developer.  Thereafter, the City w

The proposed 2014 Budget is available for review at the Park District’s Administration Building and the Elmhurst Public Library. At the November 6, 2013 Board meeting (7:00 p.m.), the Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2014 Budget. The Board will also discuss the proposed 2014 Budget at the November 6 and 20, 2013 meetings.
