The Elmhurst Park District is home to 18 playgrounds located throughout the various parks in the city. In order to keep them up-to-date with the latest safety standards and to address residents’ needs, the Park District replaces one playground per year. Currently the Washington Park playground is under construction with a new playground being built in its place.
The Wilder Park Conservatory & Greenhouse Restoration Project continues to progress. The panes of glass lining the Conservatory structure have been completely removed, leaving behind the bare frame. The boiler room has also been cleared out, paving the way for new, efficient HVAC systems.
