Elmhurst Park District was honored to receive a 2022 Best of the Best Award from the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) last week.
This year, the Park District has made addressing its registration software issues a top priority.
Elmhurst Park District joined other community organizations on Thursday, September 15 to sign a Pollinator Pledge and commit to raising awareness of the declining monarch butterfly population.
April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election for Park District Commissioner
Prospective candidates seeking the office of Park Commissioner for the Elmhurst Park District for the Consolidated Election to be held on April 4, 2023 may pick up packets at the Elmhurst Park District Administrative Office at 375 West First Street, Elmhurst, IL beginning September 19, 2022 Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. for the office of Park Board Commissioner. Candidate packets are provided as a courtesy of the Elmhurst Park District. Each candidate is urged to seek legal counsel to determine individual requirements for running for elected office.
Potential candidates can begin circulating petitions on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
Candidate petitions or certificates of nomination will be accepted beginning December 12, 2022 through December 19, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

From the youngest infant to the oldest great-grandparent, Music Together is a new program this fall perfect for family time.
The pump at East End Pool has been repaired, and the pool will open as scheduled tomorrow at 11 am!
Due to a pump failure earlier this morning, East End Pool is unable to open today. Staff is working to fix the issue and get it up and running.
Post-season hours begin on Monday, August 15. Smalley Pool closed for the season on Sunday, August 14 while East End Pool and The Hub will have updated hours.
At their August 8 meeting, the Park Board approved the planting of sixty trees this fall.
The Park Board and staff share in the frustration many experienced during Saturday’s registration. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it caused residents.
In mid-August, construction will begin at Washington Park as Elmhurst Park District staff removes the south baseball field.

In June, the Park District made the decision to hire an outside IT consultant to assist with reviewing and selecting a high performing registration software.
The Glos Memorial Park expansion project is finished and the park is reopened to the public.
