Garden Plots Offer Opportunity for Healthy Family Fun

Give your green thumb a boost this summer and sign up for a Park District Garden Plot! Gardening is a great activity for anyone looking to incorporate more healthy food into their diet and is a fun way to educate children on where their food comes from. It also is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors.

Grow your own produce in an approximately 20'x20' Elmhurst garden plot located in Marjorie Davis Park. Plots are plowed, rototilled and staked by the Elmhurst Park District, so you can plant, cultivate, and reap the harvest. Growing season runs from May 1 to November 1, weather permitting. Water taps are available at each site and are open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days per week. Plots are $60R/$80NR, Seniors have a discounted rate of $48R/$64NR. Register for a plot online or by calling (630) 993-8900.
