Impact Junior Poms Company Takes Third at State Championship
Elmhurst Park District's Impact Junior Poms Company won Third Place at the Illinois Recreational Cheer Association State Championship on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The company participated in IRCA regional competitions this fall prior to advancing to the state finals.
Kathlyn Loveless, Impact Dance Company Director, said, "I'm very proud of these dancers. This is their first year of competition and they worked hard to make it to the top three in the State!" Impact Junior Poms Company will go on a holiday tour with the entire Impact Dance Company, which includes tap, jazz, hip hop and lyrical dancers. The tour includes a performance for residents of Casa San Carlo Retirement Community in Northlake and a performance at the half-time show of the Windy City Bulls game on Saturday, December 16, at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
