The City of Elmhurst began its stormwater detention project in York Commons last week with the removal of trees in the proposed detention basin.
Construction at Butterfield Park continues at a good pace. Base material and underdrain pipe has been placed for the permeable paver walk. Electrical work has begun on the tennis court lights.
Construction is progressing for the Butterfield Park Playground for Everyone. The concrete pads were poured that go under the rubber tile safety surfacing.
Residents and visitors to Butterfield Park can look forward to smooth paths for biking and walking once Butterfield Park reopens this fall.
At the Park Board meeting on July 25, 2016 the Board unanimously approved Resolution R-02-16 to approve the terms of an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) between the City of Elmhurst and the Elmhur
Work continues at Butterfield Park. Demolition is underway with most of the paths removed.
Construction of the Playground for Everyone at Butterfield Park is moving right along with most of the demolition done.
Construction has started at the Butterfield Park playground with the remaining equipment and footings being removed. Demolition will continue for the rest of the week.
At their May 25, 2016 meeting, the Park Board approved a bid of $63,800 from Professional Paving and Concrete Co., Inc.
The Impact Dance Company of Elmhurst Park District brought home four first place championship trophies from the IPDGC State Finals held on April 24, 2016 in Geneva, Illinois.
