Successful boys gymnastics season leads to record number of regional qualifiers

The Elmhurst Gymnastics Center’s Boys USAG team competed at the State Championship in Chicago the weekend of March 23-25, 2018. Eight athletes qualified for the Regional Championship that will take place in Chicago from Friday, April 13 – Sunday, April 15. The level 5 boys team placed 5th.

Individual qualifiers included: Noah Boscaccy, Tyler Fuentes, Anthony Giovannelli, Patrick Paulish (Level 5); Ryan Krichbaum, Sean Pugh (Level 6); Renny Barnitz (Level 7) and Dom Milazzo (Level 9). Coach Garrett Acker expressed pride in the team. “We’re really excited for all the boys this year. Their hard work and dedication has paid off.”

The boys will compete against gymnasts in Region 5 from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. Coach Nikko Winstead is proud of the team, saying “This is the most successful season that the Elmhurst Gymnastics Center has had with eight qualifiers. Thanks to our coaching staff and the support and trust from our team parents. We can’t wait to finish the season strong.” The level 5 boys will also go on to compete in the team event.
