The Wilder Park Conservatory and Greenhouse Restoration Project is starting to take shape-literally. The framings for the foundations of the Greenhouse and Propagating House were completed and the new foundations were poured. As the Greenhouse rests between three existing structures, the narrow location made it challenging to get the cement trucks close enough to the framing to do the pour, so the construction team used a special truck to pump the cement into the frames. Check out the photos for some great shots of the “big pour”. The removal of the foundation framing is a high point for the project, as for the first time the actual size and shape of the new structures is recognizable.
