Featuring a range of classes from Green Screen Adventures to Marvelous Magic, our elementary school special interest programs are geared toward school-age children with a penchant for exploring a variety of activities. Most special interest classes are one-time or one-week events.
The Elmhurst Park District offers a variety of camps to suit all different personalities. From the sports enthusiast to the social butterfly to the artistic type - or all three rolled into one - you’ll find the perfect fit to nurture your child’s budding interests.

Kids Plus Programs
Kids Plus offers a variety of seasonal programs for children from infants to early teens. The goal of Kids Plus is to provide a safe, fun and creative play environment for every child. We offer something for all children’s interests.

The Hub features four batting cages with varying speeds and settings for baseball and softball, an 18-hole miniature golf course and a spray ground. The Hub also features the Lee A. Daniels Pavilion, a 3,500 sq. ft. facility housing restrooms, concessions/storage and a party room available for rentals.
Fit 4 Life at Courts Plus
Fit 4 Life is a youth-oriented gym and fitness program located at Courts Plus that is designed to provide a sound, progressive training regimen that will help young people begin a lifelong journey of health and fitness. Children will increase cardiovascular fitness, improve strength, and enhance athletic performance.
Fit 4 Life boasts both strength and cardiovascular equipment, offering two Dance Dance Revolution games, Nintendo Wii interactive games, four Cateye bikes, one Makoto Arena and eight strength machines including arm curl, arm extension, chest press, lat pull, seated row, leg extension, leg curl, and shoulder press. These pieces when used together provide youth with a sound strength regimen and fun cardiovascular workout, while improving reaction time and coordination.
Climbing Wall at Courts Plus
We welcome each of you to join the rock-climbing craze that is sweeping America. Courts Plus has a 20-foot-high indoor climbing wall, Mt. Endeavor, that offers a great experience for both the beginning and advanced climbers.
Why climb? Climbing is an excellent way to learn life skills and improve self-esteem. It offers a total body cardiovascular workout while also toning and strengthening your body, improving balance, flexibility and technique. Our state-of-the-art climbing center offers a variety of walls for beginners and advanced climbers.
Gymnastics Open Gym
Gymnastics gives gymnasts ages 6 years and older the opportunity to practice specific skills and enjoy the gymnastic facility. This is a great opportunity for friends to get together. This is not an instructional class. Qualified gymnastic instructors are on duty to supervise the safety of open gymnastic participants.
Sugar Creek Golf Course
Sugar Creek Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 32 course. The course features large, smoothly contoured Penncross bentgrass greens, a 3-acre pond coming into play on four of the nine holes, and excellent turf for golf. Sugar Creek Golf Course also offers a lighted driving range and features 25 practice stations with target greens and flags marked with various yardages. In addition we offer various lessons and clinics for all ages.
Youth Education at the Conservatory
Have some plant fun when you and your school-age group attend one of the Conservatory’s specially-designed youth education programs. Open to elementary and after-school groups, our programs help develop a sense of wonder and excitement about plants and their environment. Programs are one hour long and are available year-round. Environmental Service Projects
