  • Cancelled - Adult Egg Hunt

    Based on the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 and recommendations from public health officials to limit public gatherings, the Elmhurst Park District is canceling all programs and rentals as well as closing all facilities beginning Saturday, March 14, through Tuesday, April 7. All permitted uses of athletic fields will also be cancelled. This includes the cancellation of the Bridal Party at Wilder Mansion on April 2 and the new Adult Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at Sugar Creek Golf Course.

    Teens, grab your flashlights and join us for the Flashlight Egg Hunt in Wilder Park. Join your friends in the frenzy as you search for prize eggs filled with candy, gift certificates and other great prizes. Ages 11-16.

  • Cancelled - Egg Scramble in Wilder Park

    This year's Egg Scramble has been cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns.


    Join Elmhurst Park District at the Egg Scramble in beautiful Wilder Park (formally the Egg Hunt)! Over 10,000 eggs will be out for the taking, filled with candy and goodies. Even kids ages 0-2 can join the fun, with eggs filled with non-food items like stickers and tattoos designated for our youngest group. 

    Come early to meet with the Easter Bunny and snap a family photo! Then find your age group section to be ready to scramble for eggs at 10 a.m. sharp. The hunt goes quickly so please give yourself plenty of time to find parking and get to the appropriate age group. And in the interest of fairness, we ask that you limit it to a max of 10 eggs per child.

    The egg scramble will be followed by our Doggie Eggstravaganza at 10:30 a.m., when the fun goes to the dogs. Prizes will be awarded for best doggie costume so make sure to dress for the occasion.

    Celebrate spring with your four-legged friend at our Doggie Eggstravaganza in Wilder Park, when the egg-citing fun goes to the dogs! Prizes will be awarded for best doggie costume so make sure to dress for the occasion.

    The Doggie Eggstravaganza follows the Egg Scramble in Wilder Park at 10 a.m. Both are free of charge and no pre-registration is required.

    Join Courts Plus for their annual summer picnic! Get fit with new exercise releases, try the climbing wall, enjoy kids activities and hang out with friends! Courts Plus Members - register by June 15 for free admission! After June 15, admission is $7. Each member may bring a guest and two children under the age of 12. Additional guests are $10/each.   • Country Western Luncheon

    Howdy Partner! Get on your dancing boots & cowboy hats and join us for some toe-tappin’ country & western music. Johnny Gray is back and has a great show planned for us and lunch will be cowboy chow. Come on over for a fun afternoon of dancing, food and door/raffle prizes. Registration deadline is the Friday before. Ages 62 and up. $16 Abbey Members/$21 Non-Members.

    Join the community for this annual Elmhurst tradition, the Elmhurst Running Club's 4 on the 4th Race, a four mile race through Elmhurst. It's a fun, healthy start to your 4th of July celebrations!

    Enjoy a walk in the garden during Elmhurst Garden Club's 25th Annual Garden Walk & Faire Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Both private and public gardens will be open to visit for inspiration and enjoyment of visitors. The garden walk begins in Wilder Park at the comer of Cottage Hill and Church Street. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 on the day of the walk. A free faire with 40+ vendors will be held in Wilder Park from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Proceeds awarded to students majoring in horticulture, science and environmental related studies and to community endeavors.

There will be a variety of reindeer games, a Christmas Trivia contest, and even a visit from Santa. A DJ will be there to set the mood with Christmas music. Regular daily admission rates apply.

  • Bags, Brew and BBQ

    July 25, 2020 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

    Join us for a game night just for adults at Wilder Park. Fill up on bbq, grab a drink and enjoy a relaxing evening out. Featuring bags and other games guaranteed to bring out your competitive spirit. No admission fee, but must be 21 years or older to attend this event.
