Commemorative Brick Locations

Diana Nicholas Memorial Garden (View Map)

Thanks to a generous donation from an Elmhurst family, Wilder Mansion is framed by elegant formal gardens and a fountain. The gardens provide an additional ¼ acre of green space in Elmhurst’s urban center, fitting the District’s mission of “creating beauty in the built environment.” The gardens’ tranquil beauty provides the ideal setting to honor a loved one or commemorate a special occasion.

Elmhurst Park District
Commemorative Brick Program
375 W. First St.
Elmhurst, IL 60126

Pavers are ordered four times per year. The following are the cut-off dates for orders and the approximate date of installation:

Order in By Installed By
July 1st October 1st
October 1st January 1st (weather permitting)
January 1st April 1st (weather permitting)
April 1st July 1st

The dates above allow enough time for shipping and installation of pavers at the walk. Winter orders are installed as soon as the ground thaws. On occasion, the engraving company will be extremely busy and additional time will have to be allowed for engraving and delivery. Every effort will be made to install the pavers by the dates listed above.

A confirmation letter is mailed to you after your order is received. This allows you the opportunity to check the spelling and layout of your paver before it is engraved. If a telephone call is not received explaining necessary corrections, it will be assumed that the layout on the confirmation letter is correct. Your telephone call stating that the layout is acceptable is always welcome, but not required.

After the pavers are installed, a confirmation letter will be sent to the donor as official notification of installation.

Please note: The Park District works hard to ensure the pavers are protected and the garden is beautifully maintained. Because pavers are made of natural and man-made materials, the colors can vary slightly from brick to brick and a fading of color is expected during the first few years.
