Congratulations to Elmhurst Youth Baseball’s 12U Little League! They won the State Championship and will now play on ESPN+ in the Regional Tournament in Whitestown, Indiana on August 5 at 6 pm (CT).

Elmhurst Youth Baseball is a non-profit offering baseball for boys and girls, including Tee Ball and leagues that compete against surrounding towns. The baseball league is one of several Community Sports Groups with which the Park District has a relationship. Community Sports Groups play and practice on Park District facilities, but are managed by volunteer-led groups.

The league has had a very successful season. Their 14U team won the State Championship and advanced to Regionals. Their 18U team also won the State Championship and placed second in the Ohio Valley regional. Their 10U and 11U team are playing at State and their 16U team placed at State.

The baseball league finds itself at Elmhurst Park District parks and ballfields regularly during the season, making use of the Park District’s ballfields and batting cages. To cap off their win, they’ll also be celebrating their State Championship at the Park District’s Hub facility, with a pep rally that will send the team off to Regionals in style.

The Park District is proud to support community sports and looks forward to cheering the team on as they head to Indiana!
