The Wilder Park Conservatory and Greenhouse Restoration Project is boring… Directional boring! This is a system of installing pipe or conduit that is less impactful on the surrounding area because it does not require excavating and trenching. The construction crews directionally bored from the corner of Cottage Hill and Church Street in order to tie-in the new electrical service. The upgraded electrical system will more effectively distribute electricity to the complex. In other news the drainage system was installed and walkways were framed and poured in the Propagating House. Further concrete framing was installed in the Conservatory and Greenhouse with the cement trucks arriving early next week to do the pour. The Greenhouse also had a settling basin and drainage system installed, which acts as a strainer to prevent any sediment from entering the sewer system.
