The park features a soccer field and was the former home of the Park District garden plots. Beginning in 2017, garden plots are located at Marjorie Davis Park.

History:
The park land was acquired in 1973 for $72,000 with proceeds from a bond issue. It was named Golden Meadows Park in a 'Name the Park' contest in 1975. Before Elmhurst Memorial Hospital constructed a permanent helipad, helicopters were permitted for emergency landings and take-offs from Golden Meadows Park in the mid-'90s.
