Wilder Park is an ideal location to celebrate and capture the magic of any special day. Please follow the photography rules while visiting the Conservatory and surrounding gardens to ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Photography Permits
Posed photography and filming at Wilder Park Conservatory will require a permit. Permits are required for commercial uses such as advertising, catalog photography, and publications, as well as for non-commercial uses including, but not limited to, family, engagement, wedding, and quinceañera photos, documentaries, web-based media, and student projects.
To obtain a photography permit, call (630) 993-8186 or fill out the Rental Supervisor Contact Form to reach out to the Rental Supervisor. All permits must be requested, submitted, and paid at least 7 days in advance.
Semi-Private Session - $100/hour
The Conservatory remains open to the public during all semi-private sessions. Attendance is limited to no more than five (5) guests per session. The use of tripods, supplemental lighting, or any specialty photography equipment is strictly prohibited. Guests may not disturb other visitors or obstruct walkways at any time. Food and pets are prohibited.
Private Session - $200/hour
The Conservatory will be closed to the public during all private sessions or sessions scheduled after business hours. During private sessions, the use of tripods, supplemental lighting, and specialty photography equipment is permitted. However, the use of props, furniture, backdrops, and clothing changes within the Conservatory is strictly prohibited. Food and pets are prohibited. Attendance is limited to no more than 10 guests.
Photography Rules
- Photographers may not advertise Wilder Park or the Conservatory as their place of business or promote sessions on any District-owned property.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Food, pets, or decorations (including confetti, streamers, artificial plants) are not allowed in the Conservatory or Gardens.
- Respect the plants and grounds
- Stay on marked paths.
- Do not walk, climb, sit, or stand on garden beds, trees, or structures.
- Do not move or rearrange plants, garden features, or landscaping.
- Do not feed or disturb the fish.
