A community bandshell with restroom in Wilder Park will provide a backdrop for music or theater performances and serve as a community gathering place.
This project falls under the Elevate Elmhurst Parks Priority of Invigorated Parks.

Latest Project Report
- Four 40’ x 40’ tents were temporarily set up in Wilder Park at the locations identified in the resident survey.
- Board held a Special Meeting to conduct Wilder Park Bandshell Location Workshop.
- Board reached consensus to move forward with the consideration of two sites - the location east of the Wilder Mansion that was shown during referendum presentations and the former ice rink location.
Milestone Timeline (subject to change)
- Spring 2025: Start community engagement for Wilder Park bandshell and southside plan
- Winter 2026: Complete design development for Wilder Park bandshell with restrooms and Board approve design
- Summer 2026: Begin construction
- Spring 2027: Complete construction of Wilder Park bandshell with restrooms
