Construction on the new Eldridge Park restroom building is nearly complete, marking an exciting milestone as the first project to reach this stage from the voter-approved referendum.
At this time, the final step before opening is the connection of permanent electrical service to the building. The District is currently awaiting ComEd to complete this work. While this connection is outside of the District’s control, we are in regular communication and ready to move forward as soon as power is available.
Once electrical service is connected and final inspections are completed, the restroom building will be able to open for public use. This year-round, heated facility will provide much-needed access for park visitors, and we look forward to welcoming the community very soon.
