The Elmhurst Park District has successfully upgraded its Board of Commissioners document portal, transitioning from BoardDocs to Diligent Community, a new cloud-based platform designed to enhance accessibility, usability and transparency.
In June 2025, the District signed a new three-year agreement with Diligent, the parent company of BoardDocs, with the understanding that BoardDocs would eventually be phased out and replaced by Diligent Community. This was not a change in vendor, but rather an upgrade to a more modern system that offers improved navigation, enhanced note-taking features and a better mobile viewing experience for users.
District staff introduced the new system and provided guidance and training during the April 27 Board Meeting to help ensure a smooth transition. As part of the changeover, the April 27 Board packet was made available in both BoardDocs and the new Diligent Community platform so Commissioners could review materials and follow along during training.
All existing information currently housed in BoardDocs has been transferred to the new platform, and the public can now begin using Diligent Community to access Board agendas, meeting packets, and minutes through the District’s website here.
The Elmhurst Park District is pleased to implement this upgraded platform as another step toward enhancing access to Board information for Commissioners, community members, and staff.
