Exciting progress is underway as the Elmhurst Park District prepares for the construction of a new, modern Wagner Community Center. While the long-anticipated work is set to begin later this fall, the Park District has been hard at work ensuring that programs continue to run smoothly in the interim.
To support this effort, most Wagner programs have already relocated to other Park District facilities.
Beginning with the second session of fall programs, gymnastics and dance programs still at Wagner will have a new, temporary home at 185 Industrial Drive in Elmhurst, just down the street from Mariano’s.
The Park District is currently transforming the leased space at 185 Industrial Drive into a welcoming environment for participants. A new Park District facility sign was installed to help identify the location, and construction crews are beginning to make progress. Framing for the drywall is nearly complete and HVAC installation teams are prepping the roof for the placement of three rooftop units in the coming weeks.
Wagner programs will continue at their current location through October 19. After that, Park District staff will begin moving into the 185 Industrial Drive space to prepare for the second session of fall programs, which begins December 1.
