Create your own USA-inspired tie-dye t-shirt. Each participant will design a one-of-a-kind red, white and blue shirt to wear with pride. Bring your own 100% cotton white t-shirt or purchase one online for $5. All tie-dye supplies are included, and staff will guide participants step-by-step. Please dress for a little mess. Junior Parks & Recreation Professionals on Monday, July 27, 9am-1pm
Ever wonder what it’s like to work for a park district? Go behind the scenes and explore the many exciting careers that keep our parks, playgrounds, and programs running. Participants will learn how to conduct a playground safety inspection, help plan a special event or class, assist with horticulture projects, and practice interviewing for different park district jobs. Hands-on and interactive, this program is perfect for kids who love to lead, create and explore. $30/participant. Ages 6-10. Register >>
