Create your own USA-inspired tie-dye t-shirt. Each participant will design a one-of-a-kind red, white and blue shirt to wear with pride. Bring your own 100% cotton white t-shirt or purchase one online for $5. All tie-dye supplies are included, and staff will guide participants step-by-step. Please dress for a little mess. Take a Hike Tuesday at Safety Town on Tuesday, July 14 at 6:30pm
Enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly walk along the scenic Elmhurst Prairie Path. Enjoy fresh air, light movement, and simple nature discoveries together. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. FREE. Registration opens May 2 at 8am >>
Nature Night at Eldridge Park on Friday, July 24 at 6:30pm
Experience the outdoors after dark. Enjoy a guided night walk to explore nocturnal sights and sounds, check out a fascinating bug display, create a glowing lantern craft, and gather around the fire for classic s'mores. FREE. Registration opens May 2 at 8am >>
Junior Parks & Recreation Professionals on Monday, July 27, 9am-1pm
Ever wonder what it’s like to work for a park district? Go behind the scenes and explore the many exciting careers that keep our parks, playgrounds, and programs running. Participants will learn how to conduct a playground safety inspection, help plan a special event or class, assist with horticulture projects, and practice interviewing for different park district jobs. Hands-on and interactive, this program is perfect for kids who love to lead, create and explore. $30/participant. Ages 6-10. Registration opens May 2 at 8am >>
