The Glos Memorial Park expansion project is finished and the park is reopened to the public. The expansion nearly doubled the size of the downtown park, located at 142 E. Park Avenue.
After purchasing property adjacent to the park in 2016, the Park District gathered community feedback and created a Park Master Plan in 2021. In August 2021, construction work began with the demolition of 135 Palmer Drive, the building on the property. The redevelopment of the park increased open space amenities for a densely populated area of the community and was funded by developer donations received in previous fiscal years.
