Several Elmhurst families were surprised to look out their windows recently and discover they Got Grinched, with lawns sprinkled with candy canes and a gift from The Grinch waiting for them at their door. Some lucky eagle-eyed individuals might even have spotted The Grinch as he was sneaking away.
The Park District recently offered registration for a visit from The Grinch and the response from the public was enthusiastic, proving the Christmas spirit is alive and well in Elmhurst. Registrants could request a visit from The Grinch for themselves, their neighbors or local family members and friends.
At first, the Park District planned for fifty households, but due to the high interest, staff worked together to accommodate 153 households. The Grinch was kept very busy making his rounds.
So if you spotted The Grinch in your neighborhood recently, have no fear. He’s likely not stealing presents, but only spreading good cheer!
