Lifeguard and swim instructor positions are still available for this summer!
This year, pools across the country are experiencing lifeguard shortages unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Some fellow park districts have even announced pool closures or reduced schedules due to the staffing shortages. Here in Elmhurst we’re preparing to open both pools, but to ensure we can do that for the entire summer, we need your help to recruit more lifeguards and swim instructors.
In a typical summer, we hire upwards of 100 lifeguards to adequately staff both pools. Right now, we’re looking to bring on 30 more guards in the coming week as well as 10-15 swim instructors. So we need your help to recruit! Working as a lifeguard is a wonderful opportunity to help your community plus learn skills and make memories that will last a lifetime!
