Park Board President Colette Kubiesa earned the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) Commissioner of the Year Award, presented at the 2014 IAPD/IPRA Soaring to New Heights Conference in Chicago.
President Kubiesa has dedicated much of her life's work to advancing parks, recreation and conservation in the State of Illinois.
According to the award description, "Recipients have a true desire to serve while accepting personal sacrifices, have the ability to stimulate community action while maintaining the highest integrity and have helped to carry out the IAPD mission." Congratulations to President Kubiesa on this prestigious honor.
