Construction on the trail connector at the intersection of Butterfield and Brush Hill Roads is now complete and the connector is open for use!
The 740 ft. long by 6 ft. wide asphalt trail will provide a less hazardous ride for trail users. The current alignment at this location had trail users on the shoulder of the road and traveling against the flow of traffic.
The project was partially funded through an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) grant of $363,200.
