Park District seeks Requests for Proposals for software vendors following registration issues

As a result of issues with the Elmhurst Park District’s registration software, the District has made changes to the first day of registration process beginning with winter registration this Saturday. Those changes include hosting gymnastics registration on a separate day and time in an effort to alleviate the burden on the software system.

Staff and the Board’s IT committee have been working behind the scenes to develop a Request for Proposal for a new software vendor that is capable of meeting the needs of the Elmhurst community. The RFP was posted to the District’s website today and staff has been in contact with a number of potential vendors.

“Within the last year, it’s been made clear that our current software is no longer able to manage the large volume of registration we have, which is disappointing,” said Rogers, “We will continue to do our due diligence to find a solution that works.”

Registration for gymnastics programs will take place on Saturday, December 1 at 8:00 a.m., and general registration will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 8:00 a.m. Non-resident registration will begin Monday, December 17.

The District will be accepting RFPs through the first of the year and will be conducting demos with potential software vendors in February ahead of spring registration.
