Join Elmhurst Park District as we kick off the holiday season in Wilder Park! We'll count down to the lighting of the community trees that surround the park and enjoy holiday festivities. Free to attend.
Date and Time: Thursday, December 4, 5:30-7:30 pm
Location: Wilder Park, 175 S Prospect Avenue
Parking: Wilder Park's south parking lot and the Alexander Lot at Elmhurst University will be open for parking.

Community Trees - Now available to purchase
Be a part of this annual tradition by sponsoring and decorating one of the trees that surround Wilder Park. Families, businesses, and community groups are invited to purchase a community tree beginning Saturday, August 2 at 8 am on the Park District registration website. Fee: $100R/$125NR
Complete your masterpiece by November 30 to be entered into the People’s Choice Award contest for a chance to win a free tree in 2026!
Directions for purchasing a Community Tree:
- Visit the Tree Reservation Page.
- Open the “when” drop-down menu and select: Date (December 4) and Timeslot (5:30-7:30pm) > then click Apply.
- On the map, click the tree number you would like to purchase.
- A pop-up will appear > click Reserve to add the tree to your cart.
- On the event details page:
- In the Event text box, enter your business, organization, or family name.
- In the Custom Questions text box, enter the message you would like on your tree sign.
- Click Add to Cart, then proceed to the Payment Screen to complete your reservation and submit payment. You will need to be logged in to your ActiveNet account.
This event is outdoors and held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, please check the Rainout Line. Updates will also be posted on the website and the Elmhurst Park District Facebook page.
