Indoor tennis programming reopens Monday, January 25. Visit our Courts Plus website for more information.
Courts Plus offers a variety of tennis lessons for all ages and skill levels. Refine your technique with our lessons, improve your strategy through drill and play classes, enjoy friendly competition with in-house leagues, or play at a higher level with the travel team program.
Courts Plus hosts indoor league and lesson programs year-round. Fall lessons are divided into two nine-week sessions from mid-September to mid-November and mid-November to mid-January. Winter lessons run for a nine-week session from mid-January to mid-March. Spring lessons run for a ten-week session from mid-March to mid-May. Summer outdoor lessons run in two consecutive sessions from mid-June to mid-August.
Courts Plus has six indoor tennis courts available for rental. Members may pre-reserve court time up to six days in advance and non-members may utilize the courts on a walk-in basis. Permanent court time is also available to all members on a seasonal, pre-pay basis.
Junior Development Pathway Program
Our junior program is the cornerstone of all our tennis programming at Courts Plus. Players of all ages develop through the various stages of learning by following our Junior Development Pathway. The Pathway begins with our 10 AND UNDER PROGRAMS. These programs use a curriculum based on the highly successful USTA and ITF 10 and Under program, utilizing appropriate court size and equipment while allowing players to develop through the stages at their own pace.
From there, children move to the DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM and progress at their own pace through the Junior and Senior age levels, with the goal of moving into the ACADEMY PROGRAM and/or High School Tennis.
The ACADEMY PROGRAM is the pathway for the more serious player who has made a commitment to tennis, competing in tournaments and hoping to play on Varsity Tennis Teams.
Tennis Summer Camps
We offer several tennis camps throughout the summer for those looking to learn basic skills or brush up on their game:
Mighty Mites Two-Day Camps, for ages 3-5, develop the young player with a focus on the primary stages of athletic skills such as movement, balance, and hand-eye coordination. Individual or team games and fun activities are offered.
Little Athletes/Big Athletes Tennis Camps, for ages 6-10, offer a unique combination of skill development and improved performance thanks to a partnership with Courts Plus' Fit4Life gym. Little Athletes is an ideal opportunity for young players to learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun, supportive environment. We utilize the USTA-recommended low bounce red ball and appropriately-sized racquets for small hands. Our Big Athletes developmental tennis camp is designed to help young players improve their skills and begin to learn the tactics of the game in a fun and supportive environment. Tennis staff will utilize USTA 10 & Under programs during the first half of camp, which help players quickly progress to rallying and enjoying the game. The second half of camp will consist of a variety of activities that focus on the development of gross motor skills, muscle movement patterns, balance, and coordination.
Future Stars Camp is geared toward ages 7-12. The Junior Academy program at Courts Plus offers tennis enrichment for players ready for a bigger challenge. Children are prepared to play individual and team events, including USTA 10 & Under events and Junior Team Tennis, using the USTA-approved age-appropriate format. Camp focuses on solid stroke development, strategy and footwork patterns.
Academy Tennis Camp is designed for the more serious player (ages 9-14) looking to improve their game and become a competitive high school and tournament player. Camp creates a roadmap for achieving players' goals through speed, agility, balance, footwork, and improvement in stroke production.
High School Excellence Camp, for ages 13-18, is designed for the serious player who is striving to get USTA ranking and improve standing on their JV or Varsity team. Players work intensively on footwork, consistency, accuracy, point development and tactics. Camp focuses on match play techniques and strategies to develop individual playing styles.
