  • Open House to garner community input on location scheduled for Tuesday, October 21 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Wilder Mansion.
  • 470 postcards mailed inviting residents to attend.
  • Developing a community survey to be launched following open house.

Milestone Timeline (subject to change)

  • Summer 2025: Gather community input for Prairie Path restroom building location and design.
  • Fall 2025: Complete design process for Prairie Path restroom building and Board approve design.
  • 2026: Complete construction of Prairie Path restroom building.

Take the Prairie Path Permanent Restroom Survey

Following the voter-approved bond referendum in November 2024, the Park District is moving ahead with plans to construct a permanent, heated restroom near the Prairie Path. The facility will give trail users access to safe, clean, heated restrooms year-round, whether you're biking, running, walking your dog, or out for a stroll. We’re looking for your input! Help choose where the restroom will be constructed on the Prairie Path by taking our short survey.
