Fall broadleaf weed control applications begin September 22

An empty park trail curves through green lawns lined with tall trees, including one bright red-leaved tree in the foreground.

TruGreen will complete the annual fall broadleaf application Tuesday, September 22 through Wednesday, September 23. Applications are scheduled to take place between the hours of 6:30 am and 11:30 am with some variations depending on the location. The schedule is weather dependent and may need to be adjusted based on conditions.

Yard signs notifying patrons of the upcoming application will be posted at the entrances of the parks prior to the scheduled application dates. The product that will be applied is Lesco Momentum 4-Score and patrons are asked to remain off the grass until the product has dried.

If you have any questions, please contact Nathan Ewing, Landscape Supervisor, at (630) 993-8942 or newingatepd.org (newing[at]epd[dot]org).

TruGreen will be sending multiple crews to complete the broadleaf applications.
